Age spots and brown spots (also called Pigmented patches) usually appear later in life and can occur in all skin types. They are collections of the skin pigment or melanin which accumulate on the top layer of the skin and are usually found on the face, hands, décolletage and any part of the body that has been regularly exposed to the sun.
There are a number of different treatments for brown spots/age spots that range in intensity from laser skin rejuvenation, skin peels, microdermabrasion through to cosmeceuticals.
