Cellulaze: Am I suitable?

Cellulaze is a minimally-invasive treatment for the long-term removal of cellulite. It is not suitable for overweight or those wanting fat reduction, however it does treat the dimpled 'orange peel' effect women see on the backs of the legs, thighs and bottom area. Cellulaze can also be used on areas of the body where lax skin is prominent. A consultation with an experienced surgeon will be required to determine if you are a suitable candidate and will benefit from the treatment.

Cellulaze: What's the treatment like?

Cellulaze is performed under a local anaesthetic or light IV sedation. Treatment time varies from patient to patient but you will shouldn't feel pain or discomfort during the procedure. Small incision/s are made in the skin, a laser is inserted and used to cut through the stiffened fibrous bands that squeeze the pockets of fat tissue together. This irons out the uneven surface of the skin that we know as cellulite. In the final stage of the procedure the laser is directed at the surface level to generate new collagen production and increase elasticity of skin.

Cellulaze: What about after?

Results begin to show about three months post-treatment, and get better six months later and at 12 months, with optimum results currently lasting for two years. Cellulaze: Are there any risks or side effects?

The treatment is minimally invasive so you will be slightly bruised and swollen immediately afterwards. You will be required to wear a compression garment for up to two weeks later, and should take at least a day off work to recover from the procedure. You must refrain from exercise for 72 hours.
