PinPointe is the first clinically proven laser device for the temporary increase of clear nail in patients with onychomycosis, or nail fungus.
PinPointe: What's the treatment like?
The combination of wavelength and pulse structure is absorbed by the fungus at a faster rate tham the surrounding healthy tissue killing the fungus that lives in and under the nail. Micropulses off the laser light pass through the nail without causing damage to the nail or surrounding skin. The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes, but the whole appointment could be up to an hour. Patients experience minimal discomfort due to the specific pulse modulation used by the PinPointe laser.
PinPointe: What about after?
At the time of the procedure, the toenail will not become instantly clear - it takes time to grow out. Typically, one treatment kills the fungus for most patients. You physician will determine if you need follow-up care.
There is no recovery period of this procedure so you can just walk in and walk out.
PinPointe: Are there any risks or side effects?
There is always a risk of re-infection, but most patients achieve effective long-term results after just one treatment session.
PinPointe: What will it cost me?
All clinic's prices will vary but you will find that it costs about £500
