VelaShape

VelaShape is a treatment claims to give you tauter, smoother skin. It utilises radiofrequency and infrared light energy to heat the fatty tissue while vacuum and mechanical massage manipulates and smoothes out the skin.

VelaShape: Am I suitable?

VelaShape is not a fat removal device. It is suitable for men and particularly women who are looking for a reduction in cellulite and the circumference on thighs, buttocks, arms and abdomen.

VelaShape: What do I have to do to prepare?

The VelaShape procedure is completely non-invasive so there is no preparation necessary.

VelaShape: What’s the treatment like?

First, the practitioner uses a vacuum wand to pull the unwanted layers of fat closer to the surface of the skin.

Next, the fat cells are heated and broken down using a combination or radiofrequency energy and light waves.

Finally, the practitioner smoothes out your skin with a specially designed roller which disburses the fat cells so they may be eliminated by the body.

It is possible to treat several areas in one session and you should see a difference after four treatments (done at one-week intervals).

VelaShape: What about after?

Downtime is minimal; any redness should disappear after a few hours although some patients might bruise.

It is important to realise that any improvement in the appearance of cellulite or reduction in circumference can only be sustained with a regular maintenance appointment.
