If you are interested in having a fat removal treatment, but want to opt for a less invasive procedure, Body-Jet might be for you.
BodyJet is the latest innovation in liposuction. The water-jet assisted liposuction is a procedure designed to wash the fat away with a fluid spray. With no need for general anaesthetic, water assisted liposuction causes minimal damage to the surrounding tissue, and therefore allows the surgeon to reach the desired results much more easily.
As well as fat removal, water assisted liposuction can be used for fat transfer. This new technique can be used for a natural breast augmentation which some feel is more desirable now due to the PIP scandal. It's ideal for patients who want to increase their breast size and, at the same time, want to lose fat from troublesome areas such as the abdomen, flanks, and bum.
As well as being used for a natural breast augmentation, a fat transfer can be used for restoring facial volume and rejuvenating the hands. The fat from your problem areas can be injected into areas where the ageing process has caused a loss of volume. Your own fat can even be used to create a fuller bottom and can fill out acne scars.
The only BodyJet available that has been endorsed by leading plastic surgeons in the UK is the Human-Med Body-Jet system by Sigmacon.
Body-Jet: Am I suitable?
Fat removal - If you are in good health, your ideal weight, but have stubborn pockets of fat that don't respond to dieting or exercise in almost any area of your body, you are an ideal candidate for the Body-Jet procedure.
Fat transfer - Is best suited for those of you looking for a moderate increase in breast size or wanting to restore a previous size in a natural way.
Body-Jet: What's the treatment like?
Fat Removal - Pulses of fluid are introduced into the body, dislodging and removing fat using a small tube that is inserted into the skin. It has been designed to remove fluids from the patient as quickly as they are introduced, as the less fluid that is in you at any given time enables minimal discomfort and a faster and more accurate procedure.
This being a minimal downtime procedure, patients often get several areas treated at one time.
Fat Transfer - Your unwanted fat is firstly removed by the Body-Jet, and the fat cells are then transferred into the breast via a tube into a small incision. This technique aims to result in an increased survival of fat cells to ensure better, longer lasting results.
Body-Jet: What about after?
Downtime is minimal with Body-Jet compared to traditional liposuction. Many find that after a few days they're almost pain free, meaning a quicker return to normal activities, including exercise.
Body-Jet: Are there any risks or side effects?
Compared to other liposuction methods, water-assisted liposuction removes fat with much less force and a lower risk of side effects. There is no risk of burns and a much lower risk of bruising or injury to nerve tissues
Body-Jet: What will it cost me?
Costs of this procedure do vary from clinic to clinic, depending on how big the area/s being treated are, but you can expect prices to start from £1,800
